DESCRIPTION:The 2026 “Critical Conversations in Qualitative Research Virtual Speaker Series” is a collaboration between the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Education’s #UNCQual program\, the University of Alabama College of Education’s #UAQual program\, and Baylor University School of Education #BaylorQual program. \nThe first speaker for this year’s series is Dr. Sophia Rodriguez of New York University\, whose talk is titled “Qualitative inquiry in the current moment: Reflections on ethnography and fieldwork in schools and communities\, and equity for immigrant youth” and scheduled for Thursday\, February 5th\, 4:00 – 5:30 pm (EST). \nRegistration is FREE but required: https://tinyurl.com/RodriguezQualTalk2026
