Daniel M. Huff is recognized for his skill in choral conducting, his interest in the young voice and his dedication to teacher preparation and socialization and curricular history. He has spent more than 40 years practicing, cultivating and studying his intersecting interests in music, as a product of human creativity and self-awareness, and as way that people come to know themselves and their world. His work began in central Illinois in rural and suburban schools working with students grades K-12 and various community and civic musical settings and was honed by two interludes of graduate study at the University of Wisconsin in Madison focusing on conducting and curriculum and how schooling comes to reflect particular world views, practices and ideologies.
