Background
Dr. Harris serves as the Assistant Dean of Students Affairs for the School of Education at UNC Chapel Hill. Her professional background includes experience with TRIO programs within the community college system, housing and residence life, student leadership development, and graduate student recruitment and retention initiatives. Prior to coming to UNC Chapel Hill, she worked at North Carolina Central University and the University of Georgia. She is active in the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), where has served and held positions on regional and national committees and currently serves on the NC NASPA State Board as the Professional Development Committee Chair. She believes in the holistic development of students and cultivating meaningful experiences that will support their academic, personal and professional goals.
