Master’s student Brian Woodard included in UNC profile

Brian Woodard, a master’s candidate in the School of Education’s school counseling program, is included in a feature profile on the UNC-Chapel Hill website homepage.

Woodard, who is an adviser at John Motley Morehead High School in Rockingham County, is credited by UNC student Kaysha Lamkins of giving her the confidence and tools to apply to and be accepted at Carolina.

Woodard, who got his B.A. from Carolina in history, is a Carolina College Advising Corps member at Morehead High School.

“I really could relate to everything Kaysha and many other students were going through in trying to decide what was next for them after high school,” Woodard said. “Having been there myself, I could really say to them: ‘If I can do it, you can do it.’”

A short version of the Kaysha Lampkins/Brian Woodard story is on the UNC website.
A fuller version of the story is available on the Carolina Connections website.
