School of Education hosting Recruitment/Visitation Weekend

The School of Education is inviting students to learn more about its graduate programs at its Graduate Student Recruitment/Visitation Weekend Jan. 11-12.

“We have some new and exciting programs at the School of Education, and we know students will enjoy this opportunity to meet our faculty and students who are currently enrolled in our graduate programs,” said Deb Eaker-Rich, associate dean of the School.

The event is being held in conjunction with the 16th Annual Southeastern Association of Educational Studies Conference, hosted by the School of Education. Students attending the Recruitment/Visitation Weekend are offered free admission into the SEAES conference.

The event begins Friday, Jan. 11, at 5 p.m. with a pizza dinner during which faculty members will describe the different strands of the graduate programs, as well as their research interests. Attendees will meet currently enrolled students and be given the opportunity to sign up for interviews with faculty members on Saturday. The evening will conclude with graduate students taking attendees on a tour of downtown Chapel Hill.

On Saturday, attendees will have their faculty interviews and have the opportunity to attend SEAES Conference sessions.

Anyone interested in attending the Recruitment/Visitation event is encouraged to RSVP by Jan. 7 to Derek Neverosky, at dnevero@email.unc.edu or 919-962-1395.

Recruitment/Visitation Weekend attendees who also want to attend the SEAES Conference should register for the conference here. Registration is free.
