You should only apply to affiliate if you will still be an undergraduate student at UNC Chapel Hill in the following semester.
Applying to the MAT Program
Candidates who are affiliated as Pre-MAT must still apply to the MAT program through the graduate school but their applications will be placed in a priority pool during the admission review process.
MAT Prerequisite Courses
The MAT program has prerequisite course requirements that are determined in consultation with the NC Department of Public Instruction and are unique to the content area you wish to pursue during the MAT.
You are strongly encouraged to meet with our academic advisor, Sarah Rowe, to discuss required pre-requisite courses for your intended content and licensure area(s).
