Background

April Plumley has always had a passion for education and mentor-ship. In her previous roles in both academic and non-academic settings she has engaged in mentoring and professional development activities. April strives to be a mentor and confidant to all those she encounters. She has helped team members with meeting and exceed goals, develop strong customer service skills, and polish their business and professional acumen understanding, additionally she has served as academic advisor to her siblings and other family members. While here at UNC as the School of Education’s Admission and Placement Coordinator, April’s passion has not decreased. She has continued to find ways to engage students and build her understanding of higher education by partaking in professional development courses like Mental Health and First Aid and Green Zone trainings.
