Background

Brittany D. Cowan serves as the Communications and Marketing Content Manager within the UNC School of Education. In this role, she plans and creates content across the School’s platforms, including web, print, and social media.

Previously, Cowan served as the Social Media Content Producer on UNC’s social media team within University Communications. In her role, she focused on generating engaging content for UNC’s various flagship social media platforms. She has been at Carolina since 2021 and has enjoyed serving as one of the many amazing storytellers at the University. Cowan is a 2021 graduate of North Carolina Central University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a concentration in Journalism and a minor in English-Writing. Outside of her professional career, she enjoys creating social media content in her spare time and participating in initiatives within her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
