Background

Cody Loy serves as the Program Support Specialist for the areas of Human Development and Family Science (HDFS): Educational Innovation, Technology, and Entrepreneurship (MEITE): Early Childhood Intervention and Family Support (ECIFS) Master of Education for Experienced Teachers (MEdX); Applied Developmental Science and Special Education (ADSSE); and Learning Sciences and Psychological Studies (LSPS). Fortunately, his Mass Communication degree and previous experience in education prepared him to be comfortable with acronyms.

Most recently, Loy, a North Carolina native, was the Administrative Support Associate for the Department of Communication in the UNC College of Arts & Sciences. Before that, he was the program manager for the ESL Department of the Alamance-Burlington School System. He has been at UNC-Chapel Hill since 2023.
