Kathleen Lane, professor of special education, has had a new book published: “Systematic Screenings of Behavior to Support Instruction: From Preschool to High School.”
In the book, published by Guilford Press, Lane and her co-authors show how systematic screenings of behavior – used in conjunction with academic data – can enhance teachers’ ability to teach and support all students within a response-to-intervention framework. The book reviews screening measures and explains how to administer, score, and interpret them. It also contains guidance for practitioners evaluating their schools’ needs and resources and making sound choices about which tools to adopt.
