Brooke Samuelson is helping stop bullying at Washington Irving Middle School in Springfield, Va., where she works as a school counselor.
Samuelson (M.Ed. ’08, school counseling) helped create two videos that are part of a campaign to stem bullying. The documentary-style videos feature comments from students and staff, talking about ways to stop bullying.
The videos were mentioned in a sidebar to the story “Bullying 101” in the July-August edition of ASCA School Counselor magazine.
“Students, staff and other stakeholders were blown away by the presentation,” Samuelson told the magazine.
The videos describe the prevalence and types of bullying students might experience and feature students talking about ways to help stop it.
The videos are available here.
