Background
As a child Christina Bush knew she was going to be an educator. Her love for working with children and becoming an educator was evident in her interactions with her childhood friends. Christina began her teaching career in Howard County Public Schools as a second grade teacher. After many years of teaching she decided to become a Reading First Instructional Coach in the District of Columbia Public School system where she provided support for teachers for 9 years. Christina is currently serving as an instructional coach with the North Carolina New Teacher Support Program where she provides instructional support to beginning teachers throughout the state of North Carolina.
