Background
Sarah Petty is an Instructional Coach with the North Carolina New Teacher Support Program (NC NTSP) for the UNC Chapel Hill Region. Sarah began her career in education as a lateral entry high school social studies teacher. After completing her Masters in School Administration at UNC in 2013, Sarah worked as a Beginning Teacher Coordinator in Durham and as an Assistant Principal with Chatham County Schools. Sarah has experience working with students and teachers at the elementary, middle and high school level and enjoys working to support new teachers at all levels. Sarah believes that new teacher support is a critical component in ensuring that all students have access to a quality public education. She currently works with new teachers in Orange and Person counties.
