NC Teaching Fellows at UNC Chapel Hill

MAT students are eligible to apply to be an NC Teaching Fellow at UNC Chapel Hill. NC Teaching Fellows will receive up to $4,125 a semester in forgivable loans for a commitment to serve as a science, mathematics, or special education teacher in North Carolina.

DREAM Residency

MAT students are eligible to apply to be a DREAM resident in Durham Public Schools (DPS). DREAM (Diverse and Resilient Educators Advised through Mentorship) is aimed to recruit, support, and retain diverse Elementary Education and Special Education teachers in DPS and is funded by the U.S. Department of Education department of Effective Educator Development. DREAM residents will receive a $35,000 stipend during their MAT year and will be hired by DPS for a minimum of three years after graduation.
