“The program gave me access to classes that were helping me understand the theoretical basis for why iteration and reflection were important in education.”
Omari
"One of the biggest things I’m learning in MEITE is how to evaluate tech, to ask, ‘Is this [technology] actually helping? Our program teaches us to make sure technology serves educators and students, not the other way around.”

Rocky
“The flexibility in the program allowed for a well-rounded cohort that supported each other well. It also allowed for a uniquely tailored experience, which is really what I was looking for!”
Jarret
"I liked that the program gave me an opportunity to take classes in the School of Education, but also in the School of Information and Library Science, Kenan-Flagler Business School, and the Computer Science Department. I also did my internship in the makerspaces in the Kenan Science Library. I like how I got to pull these bits of information and experience from all these different areas of campus together in a really cool way!"
Jason
"The MEITE program taught me how to identify problems, design innovative solutions, and iterate based on user feedback. My classes gave me real-world applications in entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation, so that I was able to get my feet wet with structured experiential learning. This program, along with the strong incubator initiatives and innovation competitions on campus, gave me plenty of outlets to apply my learning. MEITE opened the door to a world of new opportunities for me."
