Graduates of the School Psychology program enter a job market with a wide range of opportunities in academic, school-based, clinical and community settings.
Our alumni work in public school systems, universities, research centers, mental health agencies, medical centers, and clinics. Many who begin their careers in schools go on to assume leadership roles, such as directing psychological services within a district. Those in clinical or medical settings often provide psychological services to children and families while serving as liaisons between schools and healthcare providers.
In addition to exceptional training, our students have access to robust career resources through University Career Services and The Graduate School. From one-on-one coaching and career events to connections with a powerful network of Carolina alumni, these supports help students transition confidently into meaningful, long-term careers.
