Alumni Testimonials

Hannah Pittman
“The most important thing that I have taken away from the UNC-BEST Program is the fact that super difficult, abstract science concepts can be made into understandable phenomenon that students can relate to. I also learned about the importance of providing a stimulating classroom environment that pushes students to look for answers on their own.”

Alexander Zuniga Marler
"Coming from an early college, community has always been an important aspect of my academic career. The people at UNC, specifically the UNC-BEST program, have been very accepting and resourceful in my transition to a 4-year university."

Anna Eblen
“My decision to pivot to education led me to the UNC-BEST Program... To me, being literate in science is less about understanding every concept and much more about understanding how science is conducted and therefore why we can trust it.”
