Application to licensure preparation programs (like the MAT or UNC BEST programs) and application to be an NC Teaching Fellows are two separate processes.
The NC Teaching Fellows Commission reviews the NC Teaching Fellows applications, conducts interviews, and selects semi-finalists and finalists. UNC-CH is NOT involved in the NC Teaching Fellows application and selection process.
Current UNC Undergraduate Students
Apply to NC Teaching Fellows BEFORE applying to licensure program (i.e., MAT, UNC-BEST).
Incoming First-Year, Graduate, and Transfer Students
We encourage incoming students to also apply to at least one of the other four NC Teaching Fellows host campuses (NC State University, UNC-Charlotte, Meredith College, Elon University).
