Individual academic programs may nominate select applicants for Graduate School fellowships. To be considered, complete your application by December 16, 2025. Additional sources of funding are available for applicants who submit the scholarship application by the deadline.

Before starting an application at applynow.unc.edu, be sure to review the “How to Apply” section for your intended program on its Academic Programs page. Each program outlines specific steps to guide you through the process.
Please keep the following in mind:
- Deadlines are firm. There are no exceptions to the deadlines.
- All application materials, including letters of recommendation and official test scores (if required), must be submitted by the application deadline.
- Test scores, if required, must be matched to the application by the application deadline. The application must be submitted before the matching process can begin. Matching scores can take up to two weeks.
- All materials must be submitted electronically.
- Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
